Overall
We have only used it for the last 2 weeks or less. It seems fine. However, I could be a lot more enthusiastic about our interaction with the company's staff. Chris helped us diagnose our home charging issues kindly and swiftly and got us the cable right away. This is particularly important as we have an all electric car and live in rural NY, where fast chargers are few and far between. Thank you.
Overall
Nice soft cable. I wish it was about 3 feet longer.
Overall
Good quality J1772 connector and cable. J1772 connector and charging port on car run ambient temp. So good electrical contact. Wire is relatively thin and very flexible. Phoenix Contact makes all types of connectors. Known to be good quality in general.
Overall
Family member kept breaking the old charger cable connector because it was too hard to plug in. Upgraded to this one and no more problems! Very nice and easy to use. Seems to be weather tight as well. Shipped quickly. Would buy again.
Overall
I’m interested in purchasing the 48 amp charge cable, but I have two questions. 1) the cable shows it has (2) 8 gauge conductors, which are only rated for 40 amps. 2) the J1772 connector has 5 pins, Two power (L1,L2) One proximity One control One ground but the cable only has 4 conductors. How can that work ? Thanks Dave.
